The Role Of Tiktok Social Media In Helping The Student Learning Process

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of TikTok social media in assisting the learning process of students and to identify the benefits and impacts of its use in the context of education. The research method used is a qualitative approach through literature studies and in-depth interviews involving teachers, students, and school officials. The results of the study show that TikTok acts as a learning support medium that can increase student motivation, engagement, creativity, and understanding through the presentation of content that is short, interesting, and easy to understand. TikTok also contributes to the development of skills such as reading, speaking, listening, and other practical skills. However, this study also found negative impacts such as decreased focus on learning, dependence on gadgets, and the potential exposure to content that is not in line with educational values. Therefore, the use of TikTok as a learning medium requires digital literacy, supervision, and proper management in order to provide maximum benefits for students.
